Egg Bowl Scramble 2025

Nestled away in one of the last natural oases left in Hampstead, N.C. lives The Skate Barn. Founded in 1996 by Jimmy Ellington, this structure has continually housed both skate ramps and skateboarders since its conception. The park is not limited to just the features found under the rafters…

Poured back in the day by Chris Lynch, the infamous Egg Bowl lives behind the barn directly adjacent to the beginning of the wooded portion of the property.

This is the “forgotten feature” here at The Barn with some guests not even knowing of its existence. Poured to nearly exactly mimic its backyard counterparts, this is the closest thing you will find to a backyard swimming pool without having to jump a fence.

The premise of The Egg Bowl Scramble was to give this prized possession the proper love it deserved.  The concept was simple: A $5 buy in for a two hour best trick jam with the winner walking with all the loot. The local talent pool turned up and barged an incredible session which truly did right by Lynch, Jimmy, and all those who skated The Egg before them.

Big thanks to all the skaters, supporters, and Low Card for covering this afternoon of pure skateboarding.
