Transcend 5

Eric “Fergy” Ferguson and the crew are back together for the fifth installment of the Transcend series. Hailing from the Salt Lake City area of Utah, this group of shredders spent the last two years fighting cold winters and hot summers to put together a full length with 14 parts and two homies’ montages–an act that is itself an ode to another time in skateboarding media. Secret swinger lives of Mormon wives aren’t the only thing cooking in the Beehive State.

T5–not a later model time traveling robot–opens with Mason Webb assaulting the SLC streets with power and a late trick game that might be sent back from the distant future. Mike Zanelli, Morgan Beck, Dago Moncada, Nick Lee, Eric Ferguson, Caleb & Otto Orton, Dillon Miller, Aaron Gailey, Coltyn Nelson, Kai Taylor, Miguel Lopez, Ricky Chavez, Landen Fergus, and Nate Brown follow, each offering a different lens on skating, before a hyped and light hearted Riley Winch draws the curtains with a barrage of tech and gnar.

If you love skating with your homies, then this video is for you. There’s some hesh, some fresh, some illegal tricks, some tasteful maneuvers, an Alice in Chains song, a dubstep track, a Herbie Hancock jam, dudes in their late 30s, dudes in their early 20s, a father and son shared part, hugs, sweat, sweaty hugs, and a credits section of photos from the sessions.

Filmed and edited by Eric Ferguson; Transcend 5 is a distilled collection of countless hours of skating in the streets with friends, giving those sessions a place to live on for ourselves and others.

Thank you Lowcard Mag and Utah skateboarding for all the support.
